Selecting the Setting Method

There are two methods for setting device information. When device information fails to be automatically retrieved, follow one of the procedures below to set the device information.

Directly Entering the IP Address or Host Name of the Device

Searching for the Device on the Network

In [Select the Setting Method] in the [IP Address Settings] dialog box, select one of these methods for setting device information.

NOTE

You can follow the procedure below to display the [IP Address Settings] dialog box.

1.	Start Monitor Setup. Starting and Exiting Desktop Monitor Setup The [Printer List - Canon iW Desktop - Monitor Setup] screen is displayed.
2.	Select the devices to set device information for in [Printer Name] on the [Printer List - Canon iW Desktop - Monitor Setup] screen.
3.	Select the [File] menu > [IP Address Settings].

[Enter the IP address or host name of the device directly]	Select this to set the device information by directly entering the IP address or host name of the device.
[Discover devices on network]	Select this to set the device information by searching the network for the device.
[Next]	Selecting [Enter the IP address or host name of the device directly] displays [Set Device Information] in the [IP Address Settings] dialog box.
