Checking the Status of Print Jobs in the Quick Printing Tool

When you set the print job status to be displayed in the Quick Printing Tool, the status of the current print job is displayed in the job status icon. The icon displaying the print job status changes according to the status of processing the job. In addition, when a print job is completed, a job completed notice is sent.

Print Job Status Display Icons

The icon displayed on the top center of Quick Printing Tool indicates the print job status.
 (Transmitting)
This is displayed during the period from the beginning of spooling executed by the Windows spooler to the completion of sending the print job to a device.
When the mouse pointer is placed over it, the status message <Transmitting> is displayed.
 (Transmitted)
This is displayed during the period from the completion of transmitting a print job to a device to the completion of printing the print job in the device.
When the mouse pointer is placed over it, the status message <Transmitted> is displayed.
 (Error)
Displayed in the following cases.
When an error occurs on a device processing a job between the start of the Windows spooler spooling to when the device finishes printing
When the device status cannot be confirmed due to network trouble or the power being turned off
When the mouse pointer is placed over it, the status message <Error> is displayed.
 (Printing Paused/Locked)
Displayed in the following cases.
When a job stops processing due to a command from the device control panel or Remote UI
When the device is waiting for the password for secured printing to be entered
When the mouse pointer is placed over it, the status message <Printing Paused/Locked> is displayed.
NOTE
You can display the Remote UI from Quick Printing Tool to view a more detailed job status.
When multiple fax send jobs exist, their job statuses are displayed in the following order of priority.
Error > Printing Paused/Locked > Transmitting > Transmitted

Print Job Completion Messages

Job completion is notified via a job complete notification message displayed in Quick Printing Tool.
